SUSTAINABILITY

In my practice, sustainability is a conscious choice for slowness, care, and respect for materials and the making process. I design and create handmade textile accessories that aim to make the value of craftsmanship and the reuse of existing materials visible again in a world of fast and anonymous production.

By working with handwoven fabrics and carefully selected deadstock materials, I give existing textiles a second life. This reduces the demand for new raw materials and helps prevent valuable materials from being lost. Each design emerges from the material itself, which limits waste and gives every piece a unique and timeless character.

My practice is small-scale and locally rooted. Everything is handmade in limited quantities, without seasonal collections or overproduction. This consciously slows down the production process and fosters a more thoughtful relationship between object, maker, and wearer.

In addition, I see sustainability not only as environmental, but also as social. In the future, I aim to collaborate with social enterprises for the finishing of my products, thereby further strengthening the value of craftsmanship and human collaboration.

My goal is to develop a practice that is not only less harmful to the environment, but also contributes to a renewed appreciation of textiles, craftsmanship, and the people behind the making process.
